In Antigua, for some fun and adventure away from your resort, we really enjoyed the Xtreme Circumnaviagation powerboat tour! If you are looking for an excursion for the day, this is a great water adventure exploring the coastline of Antigua on an exciting boat.

There are various hotels and pick-up point options available. Accordingly, the meeting point and time will be confirmed prior to your tour date. Use of snorkel equipment is included in the tour as well as lunch, snacks, and drinks such as bottled water, pop or rum punch. Be sure to bring your towels and sunscreen.

The Xtreme Circumnavigation tour is a great way to see the waters of Antigua, with various stops and sights throughout the day! At some sights our tour boat just passed by, such as Hell’s Gate, while we stopped longer at other locations to really enjoy.

Xtreme Circumnavigation Tour: Stingray City

Stingray City was the first stop on the Xtreme Circumnavigation excursion and one of the main reasons I chose this tour. It was incredible to be with the stingrays in the clear, calm, waters!

The designated area was shallow enough to stand up and not be fully submerged in the water while stingrays swam amongst us. In addition, if you choose, you could even hold one of the stingrays and have your picture taken!

During this stop, a group of us also snorkelled around the area with our guide to see the natural reef and fish! We spent approximately an hour at Stingray City.

Xtreme Circumnavigation: Nelson’s Dockyard

The tour also included passing by Nelson’s Dockyard in the English Harbour.

Antigua has several sailing and yachting events. As such, there are many beautiful boats docked here. It was interesting to hear some of the history of the area as we passed by and saw gorgeous boats.

Xtreme Circumnavigation: The Pillars of Hercules

After Nelson’s Dockyard, the next spot on the Xtreme Circumnavigation tour was another snorkel stop at The Pillars of Hercules. These pillar-like natural rock formations can be seen from boats such as this tour. Otherwise, the area can apparently also be reached on foot on the island through a (hiking) trail to Galleon beach.

If you are a strong swimmer, I thought it was incredible to snorkel and swim here, by these gigantic pillars formed naturally, in the backdrop.

We stayed in the area to snorkel for about an hour. Also, several people just stayed on the boat who did not snorkel, and simply enjoyed the views.

Xtreme Circumnavigation: Rendezvous Bay Beach

Lastly, the tour stopped for a while to enjoy Rendezvous Bay Beach. The private beach was gorgeous with white sand and calm waters. People could swim, walk around, and just relax with the delicious rum punch at this stop.
