On our most recent visit to Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos, we booked two fun water excursions that we highly recommend. So if you are looking for enjoyable Turks and Caicos tours on the water during your stay, read on!

Firstly, Grace Bay Beach is considered one of the best beaches in the world! The beach is long with soft white sand and calm, turquoise blue water. Be sure to also check out our article on our favourite beaches here! Still, for some time away from the beach resort, we really enjoy water excursions for some activity, recreation, and adventure!

Half-Day Snorkeling Tour from Grace Bay Beach, Turks & Caicos

This half-day Turks and Caicos group tour was fantastic! The excursion is offered in the morning or afternoon. We chose an afternoon tour on a warm, sunny day. Drinks, lunch, and snacks were also provided during the excursion!

The boat picked us up at a designated spot on Grace Bay Beach not far from our hotel. Also, the crew was very friendly and provided a fun energy throughout the trip. The crew even took the time to take pictures of us (and anyone else on the boat interested) with our own phones for some amazing captures of our group of four!

The boat fit everyone comfortably for the half-day tour. People could also sit shaded from the sun or even on the upper level of the boat.

Snorkel

We stopped to snorkel at a coral reef and saw colourful fish. The tour provided snorkel equipment and assisted people if needed.

The water was calm, beautiful, and everyone seemed to have fun and feel comfortable. In addition, there were people who did not snorkel and relaxed on the boat during this time.

Little Water Cay

After snorkeling, the boat parked at Little Water Cay. Here, people could relax on the boat, beach, or swim in the gorgeous blue water.

Also, the island is known as “Iguana Island” by the locals. If you go into the island, not too far from the shore, it is not difficult to see them!

Heading back toward Grace Bay Beach we enjoyed the scenery and music. We even sang a bit to some Whitney Houston that played while we cruised back – her music is always a crowd pleaser!

Lastly, we also anchored in deeper water for a little while, with the hotels and resorts in view.  Those who were feeling adventurous could jump off the rooftop diving board or go down the curved water slide!

I even pushed myself to jump off the rooftop a few times…although out of my comfort zone, it was exciting and exhilarating! My husband enjoyed jumping from the rooftop into the ocean too!

There are many Turks and Caicos tours available to choose from. This tour exceeded my expectations and was a great day spent away from the resort! Overall, it was a really fun excursion we recommend!

Sunset Catamaran Cruise from Grace Bay Beach, Turks & Caicos

On my birthday, I was surprised with a sunset catamaran cruise! The trip was beautiful, relaxing, and a wonderful way to end a celebratory day!

Firstly, the catamaran picked us up from the beach. It was a short walk from our hotel and we waited at a designated spot with guests from other hotels close by. The crew was friendly and welcomed us on board.

Drinks and appetizers were included on this scenic trip. We enjoyed some snacks like fritters and had delicious rum punch as well.

The crew was amazing from beginning to end and the sunset views from water were gorgeous. There was a mix of people on the catamaran from couples to families.

Everyone enjoyed the magnificent scenery throughout the cruise. And seeing the lit up homes and hotels from the water was beautiful.

In the end, when we returned to shore, it was dark. Notably, we felt safe as we walked back to our hotel along the beach. We returned delighted and smiling from an enjoyable evening.
