The views from Shirley Heights in Antigua are beautiful! With gorgeous panoramic views of the English Harbour, it is a must visit if you are in Antigua!

Historically, the elevated spot was used as a military lookout. The location is named after Sir Thomas Shirley, a Governor of the Leeward Islands in the eighteenth century. Today, people visit the lookout for the incredible views and Sunday party.

We went with a group from our resort for the Sunday party which offered food, music, and dancing. Notably, although the views are spectacular at night, try and be there for the amazing views before the sunset also! We were one of the first groups to arrive which was great for pictures and seating.

The steel pan band played wonderful music as we enjoyed the views and took many pictures.

Shirley Heights became busier as sunset approached. In general, it was mainly tourists but there were some locals as well for the Sunday festivities!

There was also a reggae band and music that really made the rest of the evening fantastic. Dancing under the stars in Antigua was memorable. Everyone was friendly and enjoyed the Sunday party.

Overall, it was a festive atmosphere with incredible views and live music that I enjoyed for a few hours. Enjoy the beautiful island of Antigua and have fun!
