Despite sometimes long hungry wait times at some restaurants, Toronto loves brunch! Many will often deal with the line ups and bad weather to enjoy a delicious brunch. Today, we are sharing the famous, delicious brunch, and in particular, the pancakes from Mildred’s Kitchen Temple located in downtown Toronto!

As you can see, the pancakes are mouth-watering! Brunch and delectable pancakes at Mildred’s Temple Kitchen are no secret…people are willing to wait, even over an hour on weekends, as the restaurant does not take reservations on Saturday and Sundays.

We visited the restaurant on a Friday morning since reservations can be booked on weekdays. We were welcomed by the friendly hosts and soon shown to our table. The restaurant decor is bright with high ceilings and windows, with an open kitchen.

Nurture Happiness Today FOODIE notes and tips relating to Mildred’s Kitchen Temple:

  • Try and visit on a weekday, rather than during the weekend, so reservations can be made.
  • Parking: since we went to the restaurant on a weekday, we did not have any problems finding “GreenP” street parking close by, otherwise, parking could be more timely to find in the area on a weekend. There is metered parking and a couple of parking lots in the area.
  • To book reservations, you can access from the restaurant’s website or book directly with Tock, which manages their reservations.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the famous “Mrs. Biederhof’s wild blueberry buttermilk pancakes” and “Veda’s Choice”.

The pancakes’ accolades are well-deserved! And “Veda’s Choice” according to the current menu, can be ordered with smoked salmon, double smoked bacon, or avocado. We ordered “Veda’s Choice” with double smoked bacon served with mixed greens, shown below.

Our brunch was worth the trip to Liberty Village in Toronto, even on this cold wintery day… Mildred’s Kitchen Temple brought us foodie happiness! The pancakes really did make us happy…
