Hotel Le Walt is a 4-star hotel in Paris, which we found was perfectly located for exploring the 7th arrondissement. We share our review and pictures of this elegant boutique hotel, where we stayed on our first trip together in Paris!
Once international travel began to open up more in 2022 after the closures due to the COVID pandemic, we booked a trip to Paris, France! We stayed in two hotels in Paris in April 2022:
- Hotel Le Walt by Inwood Hotels: for our first part of our trip in Paris, we wanted to be walking distance from the Eiffel Tower. We had a superb three-night stay at Hotel Le Walt!
- Hotel Brighton – Esprit de France: located in the 1st arrondissement, the hotel has amazing views of the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens! Check out our review on Hotel Brighton Paris!
Location
Hotel Le Walt is approximately a forty-minute taxi ride from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
One of the primary reasons for choosing this hotel was the location in the 7th arrondissement. It was also in a quiet area that felt safe and clean, fantastic for our first trip to Paris together.
From the hotel, we simply walked and used our (two-day) Big Bus Paris Hop-On Hop-Off to tour the city during our stay at in this area.
The closest Big Bus Paris pick-up location for us was by the Eiffel Tower. We always felt very safe walking back to the hotel each night after exploring the city.
Major attractions within walking distance of the hotel include:
- Rue Cler ~ 350 m (5 minute walk)
- Champs de Mars ~ 600 m (~11 minute walk)
- Eiffel Tower ~ 1 km (15 minute walk)
Accommodations
We booked an “Executive Room” with breakfast included in our hotel package. Our room was elegantly decorated as expected from our internet research before booking. Although we did not book a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower, which are available, we instead opted for the larger room size for our stay at Hotel Le Walt.
We stayed in room 503 which was nicely decorated and included the following amenities:
- flat screen tv
- desk and additional seating
- free wi-fi
- safe, robes, and more!
Upon our arrival, we also had a handwritten note in our room, which welcomed us to Paris and the hotel. In addition, we appreciated the two complimentary bottled beverages and Paris-shaped treats.
Amenities
From the moment we arrived, the staff at the hotel made us feel welcome and ultimately provided a great experience! Everyone at the hotel spoke English and was always willing to assist us if needed.
The boutique hotel is decorated with elegant decor.
Breakfast
As noted previously, we booked a hotel package with breakfast included. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was great and included both hot and cold options.
Breakfast offerings included pastries, fruit, cheese, smoked salmon, yogurt, eggs, and sausage, and more, during our stay. Coffee, tea, and fresh fruit juices were served as well. Service was always friendly and attentive each morning.
Patio
There is also a nice private patio and garden for guests to enjoy.
Additional Information & Tips
- Check-in from 3:00 PM
- If you land in Paris in the morning like we did, the hotel can store your luggage until check-in. In the meantime, we walked to Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower about 1 km away from the hotel or approximately a 10–15-minute walk.
- Check-out until 12:00 PM
- A convenience store is located across the street.
- no spa or fitness center, however, the hotel website indicates in-room massages can be arranged.
Conclusion
We can highly recommend Hotel Le Walt for its location and a wonderful stay in the 7th arrondissement in Paris! A short walk to the Eiffel Tower, this boutique hotel was elegant, contemporary, and provided excellent customer service.
Ultimately, this small, lovely boutique hotel was exactly what we hoped for during this stay! Enjoy Paris!
