Hotel Brighton Paris is a 4-star hotel located in the 1st arrondissement. We stayed four nights at this boutique hotel in a historic building which had stunning views! We share our review and pictures from our Paris stay here, in April 2022.
Once international travel began to open up more in 2022 after the closures due to the COVID pandemic, we booked a trip to Paris, France! We stayed in two hotels in Paris in April 2022:
- Hotel Le Walt by Inwood Hotels: for our first part of our trip in Paris, we wanted to be walking distance from the Eiffel Tower. We had a superb three-night stay at Hotel Le Walt! Read our review of Hotel Le Walt here.
- Hotel Brighton – Esprit de France: this hotel, which we review here, is in a great location to explore the 1st arrondissement and city!
The Hotel Brighton Paris is in a historic building, built in the 19th century, decorated with classic and authentic pieces from the hotel’s art collection. Everyone at the hotel spoke English and was always willing to assist us if needed.
Highlights of the hotel include the following, and more!
- Decor: elegantly decorated boutique hotel
- Breakfast: very good breakfast available, served in the breakfast room or in-room.
- Staff and Concierge service:
- 24-hour front desk
- everyone at the hotel was always helpful. We also had email correspondence that was addressed prior to our arrival.
- Bar – open daily until 10 pm. Drinks can be also be served with French cheeses, charcuterie, and more.
- Room service available
Hotel Brighton Paris: Location
The 1st arrondissement is a stunning neighbourhood in Paris with many of the city’s top attractions and historical buildings.
We walked to many of the top tourist attractions during our stay here very easily. However, since the area is in one of the most popular districts of Paris, expect to pay higher prices than in other areas.
Major attractions within walking distance of the hotel include:
- Jardin des Tuileries ~ 2-minute walk
- Louvre Museum – Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris ~ 9-minute walk
- Musee d’Orsay ~ 12-minute walk
- Palais Garnier – Pl. de l’Opéra, 75009 Paris, France ~ 16-minute walk
- Square du Vert Galant, 75001 Paris, France ~ 26-minute walk
- Some Seine River boat cruises board here. We walked to and from here for this 1-hour cruise at sunset! Book early as the boat tours on the Seine do sell-out for sunset.
For desserts and restaurants, the following popular places are also nearby, that we had to try:
- Angelina Paris – 226 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, France ~ 1-minute walk.
- Ladurée – 232 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, France ~ 1-minute walk. There are also various locations around the city.
- Le Soufflé restaurant – 36 Rue du Mont Thabor, 75001 Paris, France ~ 5-minute walk.
- in general, there are many restaurants and cafes around the hotel.
From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG): approximately 19 km away, it takes approximately forty-five-minute by taxi to drive to Hotel Brighton Paris.
Hotel Brighton Paris: Accommodations
There are 62 rooms and suites at the Hotel Brighton Paris, where “nearly half of the rooms offer a spectacular view of the Louvre Museum, the Tuileries Gardens and the Eiffel Tower.”

We booked a “Deluxe Room Paris View” with breakfast included in our hotel package.
Our room was large for European standards! It was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and included the following amenities:
- double bed
- flat screen TV, free wi-fi
- desk and additional seating
- Nespresso coffee machine
- Codage Paris body care products
- safe, robes, and more!
Lastly, we had an incredible panoramic view from our room!
Two sets of French doors in our room opened to Juliette balconies that you could step out onto:
We really enjoyed the breathtaking view of the city from our room! For us, the stunning view was worth the room upgrade for our first trip to Paris together!
Hotel Brighton Paris: Breakfast
The breakfast buffet was very good and included both hot and cold options. The breakfast room was small, but we always had a table when we dined there.
We also ordered room service for breakfast which was very good and plentiful. As you can see below, our breakfast included eggs, cheese, fruit, pastries, yogurt, and juice and coffee!
Overall, we recommend including breakfast in your hotel package which we enjoyed each morning.
