For a fun excursion off the resort, we all enjoyed this exciting Aruba jeep tour during a family vacation! I share pictures and my review from this awesome adventure in Aruba!

The guided group tour highlights the beauty of the island and also includes the must-see Aruba natural pool!

This tour can be booked through Viator: “Natural Pool Off-Road Safari” tour! Read over three thousand positive reviews on this Aruba jeep tour in the link below!

What to expect

Firstly, if you have never done an open-air vehicle tour, on a jeep or ATV for example, it is a thrilling, fun way to tour on your vacations!

We have done several such tours throughout our travels in the Caribbean. This Aruba jeep tour is especially unique with the island’s terrain and desert-like landscapes!

Since the vehicles are “open-air”, you are exposed to outdoor elements! Therefore, such tours may not be suited, nor appeal to everyone. Often, such tours are bumpy at times, especially when “off road”! However, these are also aspects that make these tours different and exciting!

During the Tour – Several Aruba Attractions:

The tour included seeing the following Aruba landmarks, natural attractions, and more:

  • Natural Bridge
  • Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins
  • California Lighthouse
  • Natural Pool

Aruba Jeep Tour: Natural Bridge

There are many natural bridges by the shores of Aruba. One of the stops on this jeep tour includes one of the most photographed natural bridges in Aruba.

Although it collapsed in 2005, this naturally formed bridge is now a tourist attraction. We stopped by briefly to view the beautiful scenery and take some pictures at this picturesque spot!

Aruba Jeep Tour: Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins

The Bushiribana Gold Mill ruins was an interesting and scenic stop along the way to the natural pool. The mill processed ore mined nearby to extract gold during the 19th century.

During our tour, we stopped to explore the ruins briefly. Otherwise, some people choose to stay by the jeeps. I enjoyed taking a closer look with my brother.

Visitors can walk inside and take pictures around the natural stone walls and staircase.

Aruba Jeep Tour: California Lighthouse

The tallest structure in Aruba is the California Lighthouse, which was built in 1910.

This Aruba jeep tour passes by this landmark which is also open for tours.

Aruba Jeep Tour: Alto Vista Chapel

The tour briefly stopped at the historic Alto Vista Chapel, the first Catholic church built in Aruba around 1750. We were able to take a look inside of this small, beautiful place of worship.

Aruba Jeep Tour: Natural Pool

The highlight of the jeep tour is Aruba’s Natural Pool!

In order to get to the natural pool, you must walk down a stairway; it was not accessible otherwise at the time. Most importantly, it is worth the journey!

Hopefully, you visit during the year when you can enjoy the water! Some people even brought snorkel gear.

The natural pool is incredible to experience and take a dip in. Fortunately, we went when the weather was warm and the waters were not rough in the natural pool.

Depending on the time of year, it maybe best not to take a dip in the natural pool. In other reviews, people have noted the waters were rough during their visit so I am highlighting it here as well. Tour companies will also provide their warnings accordingly. As such, I recommend this experience for adults! Otherwise, simply viewing the beautiful natural pool from afar maybe best for others.

Additional tips for the tour:

  • footwear: comfortable shoes with traction for the tour, especially since Aruba’s terrain can be dry, dusty, and rocky.
  • water shoes: recommended if you plan to go into the natural pool
  • sunscreen (there is no shade from the sun by the natural pool) – I wore a baseball cap!
  • towel
  • waterproof dry bag

This jeep tour and taking a plunge in the Natural Pool was absolutely one of the highlights of my trip to Aruba!

Aruba Jeep Tour: Conclusion

This Aruba jeep tour “Natural Pool Off-Road Safari” was amazing! The half-day excursion was a fun way to see the island in an open-air vehicle. It was a great sightseeing trip of Aruba’s famous sights and natural wonders!

In particular, swimming in the natural pool is a must-do when in Aruba! Together, overall, the “Natural Pool Off-Road Safari” was awesome and memorable!

Nurture Happiness Today TRAVEL highly recommends this Aruba jeep tour! Book the tour on Viator and read thousands of positive other reviews! Enjoy this memorable adventure!

Enjoy Aruba and happy travels!

This tour is particularly bumpy and may be rough for some people since there is a lot of “off-road” driving. Read the details from the tour company directly and other reviews (also available on Viator for example) so you are informed and know what to expect! My family, including my mother (who is healthy and active), loved this excursion, but it may not be suitable for everyone!

*I do not recommend going down to see and experience the Natural Pool with younger aged children, nor with people with mobility issues who require assistance walking. There is no elevator.
